Last week we had a blast in Long Beach, WA!
We met THREE new full-time families that we became fast friends with. We had campfires every evening, flew kites on the beach, and even went horseback riding on the beach together! It was a week to remember with great people. The RV community is one of the best groups of people out there and we absolutely LOVE meeting other RVers on the road.
Our first Boondockers Welcome stay!
What is Boondockers Welcome? It’s a community of RV hosts and RV travelers. You pay $30 a year to have access to hosts all over the US and in other countries as well! If you sign up to be a host, you offer your property up for RVers to come stay a night (or longer) for free. Their website description is “Locals invite travelers to spend the night, share their stories, and save their money for the real adventure.”
We’re in Washington and our host is allowing us to use their 30 amp hookup and stay for 5 days! They’re out of town, so we’re bummed we don’t get to meet them and share stories around the campfire, but they have a pretty yard with jungle gym and swings the kids can play on. I can’t believe it took us 7 months to join! It’s sooo worth it. You can join or read more about it HERE.
Another great membership we JUST found
Another membership that’s a no brainer for travelers is The North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Association that you can use all over the country! We hate that we’ve missed out on so many great museums in our travels so far, but are super excited to start taking advantage now.
Better late than never, right?
Kern County, CA allows you to join the program through their website, and they mail the card to you! Perfect if you live on the road.

**It’s the “Travel” option that gives you free access to over 1,000 museums around the country for only $125/year. It gets 2 adults and up to 6 kids in for free to any of the participating museums! This easily pays for itself the first or second time you use it, as museums can be really pricy. **
