Good morning,

Today we had the opportunity to express our love and gratitude by honoring the importance of grandparents and the vital role they play in our families. Thank you to all who came and celebrated Grandparent’s Day with us.

We also have an exciting week ahead at St. John Bosco High School. Of the many traditions we celebrate, the Triduum is an opportunity for us as a community to come together through reflection, reconciliation, and celebration. Although the school year started several weeks ago, Triduum Week is a time for us to officially share the Strenna or our guiding theme for the year.

“Sharing our gifts. Transforming our world.” As the Strenna will be presented to our community this week it is a great reminder of what centers us as a Salesian community. Specific activities will be held this week that include a Faith Family reflection activity, opportunities to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, a communal celebration of the Eucharist, and we will conclude the week with our Fall Sports Rally.

I hope you all have a blessed Sunday. Below you will find what is in store for the week ahead.

Best,

Kristopher L. Anderson, Ed.D., Class of ‘04

Principal

College Visits

It’s time to register for college visits! College visits are a great way to meet college reps from various colleges and universities and learn more about their campuses. Below is a list of scheduled visits. Continue to check back, as we are still booking additional schools! All students must register on Naviance prior to the event in order to attend.

To register, follow these steps:

  1.  Login to your Naviance account at https://student.naviance.com/stjohnbhs
  2. Enter your username (ID number for grades 11-12, email address for grades 9-10) and password. Freshmen and new transfer students should have received a recent email with a temporary password. All other students should already have an active password of their choosing. Please see your counselor if you need your password to be reset.
  3. Click on the “Colleges” tab at the top of the page
  4. Click “College Visits”
  5. Click “Register Now” next to any that you plan to attend

These visits take place during break and lunch. It is important that you arrive as soon as possible when the visits begin, since time is limited.
