October 16, 2022

Good morning,

Our fun filled Homecoming Week concludes this evening with our Homecoming Dance at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. The lead up to this evening was action packed with so many celebrations of St. John Bosco High School. From lunch time activities to opening night of Peter and the Starcatcher to the Homecoming game complete with a fireworks included halftime show where we crowned a Homecoming Queen from our sister school St. Joseph High School. Congratulations to our Varsity Football program capping Friday evening with an impressive win!

Do you know of any middle school families in your community?  Please let them know about our upcoming Open House, Sunday, October 23rd from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Current Bosco Families are some of our best ambassadors so please spread the word! Open House will highlight presentations by our administration, Student Ambassador tours, Academic Pathway exhibits and Student Clubs. We will also showcase academic departments and athletics. Please help us by welcoming future braves to visit campus.

I hope you all have a blessed Sunday. Below you will find what is in store for the week ahead.

SJB Canteen Update

As many of you know, the new 2022-23 lunch program was implemented by SJB alumnus, Otto Rafael Peñarredonda, which we are very grateful. After renovations to the canteen and upgrading the payment system at his own expense to streamline lunch orders, the new program is now offering consistently high-quality, nutritious food options.

A big Thank You to those who have tried the program so far! Now we are asking those who haven't yet, to please support our new program as much as possible—its continued success depends upon consistent, widespread use to meet economies of scale.
