Celebrating our Heroes with PRIDE

I would like to dedicate this issue to the essential workers, the first responders. Cashiers, Transit Workers, Janitors, Mail Carriers, Health Care Workers. You inspire me. To that end, there is a woman in my neighborhood who has taken it upon herself to shine a light on some of our everyday heroes...

Eleanor Traubman is a Brooklynite who believes in community and finding creative outlets that highlight the greatness of regular New Yorkers. Eleanor has on online tutoring business where she helps students become more confident, joyful readers and writers. In response to the global pandemic, she started a facebook project called My Local Heros lin April, 2020. Each hero's story is inspiring, but I would like to highlight one-Shannon Hummel. Shannon is the Artistic Director of Cora Dance Studio  aka my old stomping grounds, Red Hook, Brooklyn. Please take a moment to watch their current plight on Channel 12

Speaking of PRIDE I wanted to climb 1 Hanson Place so that I could shout from the top of the dome when I saw this facebook post on May 28.
Carolina Salguero, Executive Director of Portside NY gives a heartfelt thank you to John Avery Steib.
My team and I are also proud to represent this expansive 3 bed, 2 bath apartment in the Heart of Brooklyn. 1155 Ocean Ave, Apartment 6CD is a gem with ridiculously low maintenance in a well maintained coop.
1155 Ocean Avenue-Apartment 6CD - a 3 bed 2 bath apartment in Brooklyn for under $900,000.
We are also proud to present this duplex garden rental on a quiet, "social distancing" street in Boerum Hill. The landlady of this 3 bed, 1.5 bath apartment is super responsive to her tenant's needs And has renovated the apartment so that the walls & floors look brand new.
Even though the events are cancelled, I would be remiss if I didn't mention 50 years of PRIDE. Find out how the LGBTQIA+ community is celebrating HERE.
