DC Cooperative Stakeholders Group

Happy holidays and thank you for your
continued support and cooperation!

To kickstart next year's ecosystem building efforts, our digital stewards are seeking small contributions to support the group's ability to increase access to capital for cooperative businesses and projects in its growing network.
Help more local co-op businesses &
projects raise their own funds!
Support Local Co-op Development
Visit our campaign page above or continue reading...
Existing crowdfunding platforms (GoFundMe, KickStarter, Patreon, etc.) offer little guidance on how to successfully raise funds, and lack a focus on community building, especially within any particular localities.

As the only current means of online crowdfunding, these private platforms extract up to 6% of all potential funds raised from the aggregate local cooperative economy!

With your help to raise $2,500, the DC Cooperative Stakeholders web platform will host a public utility for local co-op businesses and projects to run their own crowdfunding campaigns directly through their own listing on the DC Cooperative Stakeholders Group website, investing right back into the local co-op community and its further growth.

This initial funding will cover:

  • the cost of development,
  • the cost of upgrading our website hosting, and
  • the cost of THREE fundraising campaign landing pages with professional digital strategy, design, and marketing assistance from the local talent pool in-person or online.
Go to Platform
Once the platform is launched, all fundraising proceeds will go directly to the respective fundraising business or project as personally chosen by a capital contributor, with ZERO FEES imposed on platform users. An optional contribution can be made to support the platform and cooperative network.
A Call for Nominations will begin in February for co-op businesses and initiatives to be the first to receive dedicated web and marketing assistance to launch their co-op campaigns!

Our website is running into capacity limits! Your donation will allow us to upgrade the servers so that our digital stewards can continue development of online infrastructure for local cooperators.
