WBFI Members & Network:
Welcome to a new year of membership! I am so excited to be on board as the new Executive Director of WBFI. My past year as Program Director has taught me a lot about the organization and our members. I am excited to dive in even further with this organization.
As many of you know, The Wild Bird Feeding Institute is managed under our association management company, Nonprofit Resources. Kris Bennett who is founder and president of Nonprofit Resources is transitioning from client-related work now into focusing on business development. This means in succession planning, she is passing on the torch to me to fill the role of WBFI's Executive Director. Thankfully, since we are related, she has to answer all my calls when I need historical input.
My 7+ years’ experience in association management has been tied to groups focused on conservation efforts. I am overjoyed to be working with a group that is directly supporting the advocacy of birds, which has a domino effect on ecosystems from local to global scales, as well as helping humans make a personal connection with nature from the comfort of their homes.
I have already learned so much from the WBFI and I am eager to continue to learn more. As we see the hobby rapidly expanding, I am excited to bring my ambition and new ideas to a group poised to step up to a new level of success. WBFI is a perfect example that rising tides lift all boats, and I am looking forward to working with the best of the best in the industry - YOU!
If we haven't met yet, I am hoping to change that! Let's set up time for a virtual coffee chat and we can discuss how WBFI can best serve you and your company. Whether or not you are a member, I would love to connect.
You can either book time a convenient time for you on my calendar or if you prefer to meet face-to-face I will look forward to buying you a drink at the the WBFI Annual Member's Meeting in Lost Pines, TX November 9-11.
Let's continue to grow the industry together.
