Big Walk is big success for community

There was a fantastic turnout from both young and old alike on the recent Big Walk, held in aid of a local charity in Newton-le-Willows.

The Big Walk 7 event was organised by Business for Youth in Newton-le-Willows and Earlestown Athletic JFC, and was a great opportunity for people to get together, enjoy the fresh air and find out more about the nature on their doorsteps.

For the first time in two years, open days will return 'in person', and it's a great chance to really get a feel for a school.

Gardening tip of the week:
Collect seeds for next year

Collecting seeds from your garden ready for next year is easier than you think with lots of plants. As your poppy heads dry out, you can collect up their seeds. It's also super easy to collect up nasturtium seeds for an abundance of flowers next year. Plus, collecting them now stops them self-seeding in parts of the garden you don't neccessarily want them to be!
