OPQ Update

Dear Valued Customer,

We are currently experiencing a degradation in internet service due to our upstream providers carrying out maintenance. Currently it is underway on the West African Cable System, which carries our international traffic (i.e. Internet traffic) out of the country.

Maintenance was initially scheduled to take place from the 1st to the 6th of September, but could not be carried out during this time period due to unfavorable sea conditions. The maintenance crew has been waiting for more favorable conditions, making it difficult to predict the exact time the outage would occur.

They are currently routing traffic via a secondary backup link and are in the process of balancing the load across a third alternative link (leaving the country). While this will alleviate the congestion, users will experience a degradation during the maintenance window. Our technical team is constantly monitoring the links and making configuration changes to minimize the impact as much as possible.

We are unable to communicate an exact date when maintenance will be completed, but expect it to be completed around the end of this week.
