FAMILY WORSHIP JAN. 29th & FEB. 5th
This Sunday, January 29th is a 5th Sunday.  On 5th Sundays, Kids Worship doesn't meet so that our families can worship together during the Church Worship Service.

Next Sunday, February 5th, Kids Worship will not meet so that Ms. Jenn can accompany several of our students to the SuperStart Conference in Dallas.

Please make sure to pick your kids up after Connect Groups both Sundays.  We look forward to seeing you worship together as a family the next two Sundays.  Remember Kids Sermon Note handouts are available at the Trinity Kid's Welcome Desk.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR
JOURNEY TO THE CROSS EVENT
YOU are needed to help us on Palm Sunday with our Trinity Kids ministry event, "Journey to the Cross.” This interactive family experience will give our community an opportunity to walk through depictions of some of the final days of Jesus’ life on Earth. In addition to experiencing the betrayal, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus, our community will also have the opportunity to sit down at the end of the journey and discuss the experience.  A free meal will be provided as attendees discuss the power of what was witnessed and what it means.

We need approximately 40 volunteers to serve in various ways!  Our Trinity Quilters will be making the costumes, so all volunteers must be registered by February 28th.  Click here to volunteer to serve during the event or contact Jenn Parks directly to sign-up.

WANT TO LEARN A NEW HOBBY?
Trinity Quilters Meet 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the Month
Did you know the Trinity Quilters meet the first and third Thursday of every month from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to sew quilts for cancer patients?  Everyone is invited to join in the ministry.  Don't sew?  No problem!  There are multiple ways you can serve in the ministry, and they're even willing to help you learn how to sew.

The ministry is supported entirely by donations.  If sewing isn't your thing, you can click here to support the ministry financially.  You can also support the ministry by praying for them and those who will receive a quilt.  Last year more than 160 quilts were given out to cancer patients.
PRESCHOOL MINISTRY NEEDS VOLUNTEERS
The Trinity Kids Preschool Ministry, which serves children ages birth to pre-Kindergarten, is in need of volunteers to serve on Wednesday nights during Grow Classes (from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.).  Volunteers will either serve in the nursery room or the 3-4 year old class.  The commitment is 1 or 2 Wednesdays a month.  If you're able to help, please email kwatkins@trinitytxk.com.  You can also stop by the preschool following the Worship Service on Sunday to learn more about this service opportunity.
EVAN SIDWELL NAMED NEW ITERIM
DIRECTOR OF HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY
Please join us in welcoming Evan Sidwell as the new Interim Director of High School Ministry at Trinity Baptist Church. Evan grew up in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and graduated from White Hall High School before playing basketball at East Texas Baptist University. After suffering an injury that ended his college basketball career, he transferred to Texarkana College. Evan finished his Bachelor's Degree in History and Political Science with a minor in World Geography from Southern New Hampshire University.

Since graduating, Evan has worked extensively with youth. He started his career working in the youth department at First Baptist Church Texarkana before taking an opportunity to work with the Genoa Central School District. For three years, he taught P.E. for Genoa, while coaching baseball, basketball, and football. In 2021, Evan left Genoa for an opportunity to teach math, economics, and geography at Trinity Christian School (TCS). In addition to his teaching responsibilities at TCS, he also coaches basketball and baseball. Evan has also helped in the student ministry department at Beech Street Baptist Church.

“I’ve always had a heart for student ministry, whether I was coaching or teaching a Wednesday student ministry,” Evan explained. “Helping at Beech Street on Wednesday nights as their speaker recently ignited that spark for church ministry again. Through prayer and talking to mentors, I decided this position was a right fit. My wife is behind it, and we are ready to jump in and get rolling.”

Evan and his wife, Adrian, will celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary in May. They have one child, Sadie.
MISSION OF THE MONTH: MOSAIC CHURCH
We are excited to share that our Mission of the Month for January is Mosaic Church in Texarkana. On May 16, 2021, Trinity Baptist Church donated $10,000 to support Mosaic Church in their church plant. Supporting churches play an essential role in church plantings being fruitful. Healthy church plants will testify to the vital impact of supporting church partnerships in their journey to self-sustainability.

Members of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, Mosaic Church has seen growth since their first Worship Service with only 7 families in it back in 2021. Today, they are a diverse group of people from different backgrounds, differing stages of life, and different legs of their spiritual journeys. Their church body comes together and stays connected through each member’s bond with Christ. As a church, the members celebrate their differences and embrace their diversity.

Below are ways you can continue to support Mosaic Church:

1. Pray for Resources
Pray the church receives the resources they need to serve the Wake Village, Texas community and to sustain their continued growth.

2. Pray for Discernment
Pray the church is presented with opportunities to connect within the Wake Village, Texas community, along with the guidance to discern which opportunities are best suited to make disciples.

3. Pray for Kingdom Growth
Pray the church continues to grow and bring in people from across the greater
Texarkana area, so the church may expand over time and start a church planting
movement across the region.

4. Support Their Mission
There is much joy and excitement that comes from seeing God bring something out of nothing. Trinity Baptist Church members have been blessed to share in the experience of having been there when Mosaic Church first opened their doors. Supporting missions in our local area is important. Your donations to Mosaic Church this month will help bring people in our own community come to faith in Christ through the outreach of this church plant.

PAST SUNDAY SERMON RECAP
Sermon: Are Father Who Finds Us
Scripture: Genesis 3:8-24
Pastor: Cody Howard

Key Takeaways:
1. Our God is a great God who comes to find us.
2. God's call to you offers redemption from sin.
3. God is the only seeker. Man does not seek God.
4. We pretend. We lie. We preform. We put on leaves to cover our sins.
5. We don't deserve God's covering, but his grace covers us with the righteousness of Christ.
