Building & Construction Update
While the Monarchs have been busy at school reciting poetry, beginning their study of Latin, kindling friendships, and making a delicious emulsion in science with Mrs. Block (ice cream!), swift progress continues to be made on our permanent campus on Long Point Road. A beautiful pine beadboard ceiling was installed in the multipurpose hall of the administration building and large, bright windows have been placed in the offices. In the classrooms, door frames have been installed, work on the walls is nearly completed, and preparations are being made for painting. We are looking forward to welcoming our Monarchs and their teachers home very soon!
Mass of the Holy Spirit
Wednesday, September 4th was yet another historic day for Magnolia School as we attended the first ever all school Mass. Fr. Pete Arriagada, our chaplain, celebrated a Mass of the Holy Spirit for us as a beautiful start to our academic year. We are grateful that many parents and family members were able to join us for Mass and are looking forward to many more liturgies in the chapel at our home campus.
Blossoming Poets in 5th Grade
Ms. Yordan's 5th grade Language Arts class worked together to compose the following poem in the style of some of the pieces they read over the summer. We can't wait to hear the girls reciting more poetry very soon (perhaps even some of their own creations)!

Today, September 5th, is the Feast of St. Teresa of Calcutta (1910-1997). Prior to establishing the Missionaries of Charity, Mother Teresa was a teacher in several girls' schools administered by the Sisters of Loreto. She devoted herself to the love of Christ in the poor, particularly those in Calcutta, India, which became her beloved home.
