Less than one week away from the opening of Magnolia School!
Faculty and staff toured the facility at Our Lady of Czestochowa and were able to view classrooms and begin planning for the first few weeks of the academic year in our temporary location.

After months of work and preparation, years of dreaming and planning, and thanks to many generous friends of Magnolia, we are less than one week away from the first day of classes for Magnolia School! We are so excited to welcome each and every Monarch to their first year of a beautiful Magnolia education. Due to a delay in the completion of the construction on our home campus on Long Point Road, we will begin the school year at Our Lady of Czestochowa, which is conveniently located close to our property. We are grateful to have safe, secure, dedicated classroom space in which to begin educating girls in truth, beauty, and freedom. Thank you for being with us on this grand adventure!
Meet a Magnolia Teacher

We'd like to welcome a new addition to the Magnolia team, Cathy Rodrigues, who will be teaching 7th grade Religion.

Cathy Rodrigues is originally from New Orleans and grew up in Houston. She studied anthropology at Princeton University, and while attending Princeton, she converted to Catholicism. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accountancy from Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. She is a CPA who works part-time from home as a senior tax associate for Weinstein Spira, a local public accounting firm.

Cathy is passionate about her faith and is excited for the opportunity to teach religion to young people. She has taught RCIA and CCD and regularly gives talks to women on Catholic doctrine and Christian virtues. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and cooking delicious food.

Meet a Magnolia Staff Member

We are happy to introduce Mary Frelk, who will take care of maintenance at Magnolia, as well as teach 2nd & 3rd grade physical education.

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mary received a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the University of Dallas and has made Houston her home for the past three years. This summer, Mary has been busy creating desks with love for each Magnolia girl. As of July 4th, she is engaged to Jordan Power. In her spare time, she enjoys making artwork of every kind including wood working, oil paining, and jewelry. Mary is also the proud aunt of an incoming Monarch! She is looking forward to creating a pleasant and enriching environment at Magnolia School.

A sneak peek at the Magnolia School desks, handcrafted with love! They are made of red oak, coated with a golden stain, and marked with a custom brand of the Magnolia School Coat of Arms. We can't wait to see the students using them soon!
