Our 8th graders recently finished reading and analyzing Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing and completed a capstone project of a custom program for their own imagining of a production of the play. The programs included essays, costume and set designs, and prop descriptions to bring the story to life. These Monarchs went above and beyond, creating small facsimiles of costumes, including beautiful illustrations, and researching costumes for historical authenticity. It was a wonderful way to wrap up this piece of their literature class!
Gospel Parables in 5th Grade Religion
It was a week full of theatre at Magnolia, and 5th grade contributed a set of skits based on several Gospel parables they have been studying in Religion. It was a beautiful Friday afternoon and the girls found time to perform for several of the younger classes. It is always a joy for us at Magnolia to see the older and younger girls sharing their gifts and talents with each other!
