Magnolia School's Christmas Concert

Last Thursday, the Magnolia Monarchs treated our entire community to a beautiful concert to celebrate the Christmas season. Months of hard work, rehearsals, and musical study culminated in an evening of song & story, with a good measure of cookies & cocoa on the side! It was a wonderful gift to see our students share their talents with friends and family. Many thanks are due to Mrs. Julie Sykes, our formidable music teacher, who is entrusted with all of the music classes at Magnolia for grades 2-7. Additionally, we are grateful for the many parent volunteers who transformed the space, graciously shared with us by the community at Our Lady of Czestochowa, into a charming holiday setting for the occasion.
From all of us at Magnolia School, we wish you and your families a very happy and blessed Christmas!
The Monarchs perform a rousing rendition of "Hot Chocolate"; Monarch friends enjoy an after concert treat; Mrs. Sykes with a few of her students and an honorary little sister Monarch; Friends and siblings staying warm in the chilly evening; The Cody Family loves their Monarch!
Spelling Bee
We are happy to share that Magnolia School has its first Spelling Bee Champion, our "Queen Bee," 7th grader Clare Hayes. Two champion spellers from each grade level competed in a school wide spelling bee. Our Monarchs demonstrated an enormous amount of fortitude as they carried on, round after round, spelling words of increasing difficultly. Miss Hayes secured the win with the correct spelling of the final word, aquifer.
We couldn't be more proud of all of our competitors' hard work, preparation, and poise, all of which were clearly evident the day of the Bee.
