SUMMER/FALL NEWS

DEDICATED TO TIMOTHY II (REV. DON LENT) AND LAVONA LENT
On August 3rd, Timothy II, the founder of the Timothy II ministry, passed away from a rare blood vessel cancer. Only sixteen days later, his wife, Lavona, died of natural causes. Their memorials were both held at Westminster Memorial Park and they were well attended.

Timothy and Lavona were married 68 years and their lives were filled with fun, family, football and ministry. The picture of them on their honeymoon captures their sense of adventure. From their early years to their times on the mission field after their children were grown, they both loved life and all that God had planned for them. Don and Lavona are survived by their three daughters, Sandi Mahlow, Kandi Maxwell, and Kimi Lent. They had eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The Timothy II ministry will continue on as Reverend Dave Betts has been the President since Timothy stepped down two years ago. Timothy was very thankful that David, who has been with the Timothy II Ministry since he was a college student, took over for him.

THE MABUHAY CONNECTION: Ozzie Cinko is pictured with boxes filled with clothes and other needed items that are almost ready to send. These will go out this month. Ozzie and his wife, Toni packed and sent six boxes in September as the Mabuhay Boxes are now allowed into the Philippines again since the country has lifted their shipping restrictions due to Covid.

NOTHERN MEXICO: Pastor Herminio Castillo has continued to stay busy as they have held Church services, outreaches, Bible College meetings, baptisms, and home visits. Pictured is Pastor Herminio, our Timothy II Director for Northern Mexico, where they recently had meetings with missionaries to the Tarahumara Indian Tribe. They started a home for the homeless Tarahumara Indians nine years ago. In the coming months, Herminio will be in Sinaloa to work with a group of Christian leaders.

MEXICO: Please keep Pastor Daniel Perez in your prayers. Daniel is the Timothy II Director for Mexico and he has just been diagnosed with Covid 19. Thanks!

INDIA: Pastor N. David, our Timothy II Director in India, was very happy to once again host their Pastor's Fellowship on October 14th. He reported that they had a great reunion as it had been seven months since they have been able to meet. They handed out bags of flour to the pastors in attendance.

UGANDA: Our Timothy II Director for Uganda, Pastor Moses Awuyo, at a meeting they had in September where they prayed for the United States. Moses has now began church services after being shut down due to the Coronavirus.

THE PHILIPPINES: Pictured: Pastor Bert Montillano and some of his Street Preaching Outreach (SPO) Team. Bert and his team have had a fruitful time during these past months as many have come to know Jesus as their personal Savior, were baptized, and are being discipled at the various churches that he has throughout Cebu.

MYANMAR/THAILAND: Pastor Win, our Timothy II Director for Myanmar and Thailand, has been restricted to having Zoom meetings for their church services. However, they are also using this time as a time for prayer as they announced 100 days of prayer and fasting for their Myanmar elections, the pandemic, and a time of repentance. They started praying on July 31st and will end on the day of their election, November 7th.

PAKISTAN/SPAIN: The Timothy II Team was blessed to be able to send our Timothy II Director, Brother Andrew, money for his six children to have books and school uniforms for their school year. Brother Andrew continues to share the love of Jesus with the Muslim refugees throughout Spain.
