Let's Learn About...

Lacrosse is one of the most modifiable sports out there. There are heaps of different versions that use different sticks, fields, rules and equipment.

Lacrosse Victoria has taken this further, and created a NEW modified version of lacrosse just for teens of all abilities - TriBall. We've already learnt about Lacrosse, but now Let's Learn About Triball Lacrosse, and how to get involved.

So come on, join the tribe!

Love Sport? Let's learn about... TriBall Lacrosse

Lacrosse in Victoria

Did you know that Lacrosse has a long history in Victoria? The first men's competition was in 1875, and the first women's game was in 1936 between Williamstown and the YWCA! Since then the game has continued to grow and become more and more accessible.
There are now more than 16 clubs across Victoria that compete in lacrosse competitions. In June this year, Footscray Lacrosse Club and Lacrosse Victoria held the Men's and Women's Senior National Championships. Victoria went on to win BOTH the women's and men's national championships!

Stick It becomes TriBall Lacrosse!

After the success of the Stick It program, Lacrosse Victoria have continued their development of the sport for all abilities. The program is now called TriBall, and is a new, modified version of Lacrosse for teens designed to help you:
  • Get fit,
  • Get involved, and
  • Get together.
Catch up with your friends and make new ones while getting fit and staying active. Played a bit of lacrosse before or not at all? Doesn’t matter! TriBall Lacrosse is for teens of all abilities. Throughout the program you will review the basics of lacrosse: catching, throwing, and scooping and how to use them in a 'TriBall' game.
