Happy Spring! And Happy Anniversary to our Monashee Community Co-op!

We hope you're enjoying the great weather and looking forward to a new growing season. Speaking of growing – your Co-op has grown to over 500 members and we're celebrating its 5th Anniversary. New and good things continue to grow and blossom in our store. 
Read on to learn about our celebrations for the Co-op's Fifth Anniversary, our Member Appreciation Potluck, and further developments!

What's New at the Co-op?

Zero Waste Display

Volunteer Jen Hannah showcasing her Zero Waste displayIn celebration of Earth Day, Co-op volunteer, Jen Hannah, created and presented a Zero Waste display.

Jen's display showcased interesting facts including how long items take to break down, what Zero Waste is and what the Co-op is currently doing and plans to do to further implement zero waste.

New Website Coming Soon

Upcoming Events

Fifth Anniversary Celebration

Saturday May 25th, 1:00-2:30pm
We're celebrating our Fifth Anniversary! This celebration is open to the public and will be at the Co-op 1:00-2:30pm. We'd love for you to celebrate with us, and bring a friend who's new to the Co-op!
Check your mailbox for your postcard with a 10% coupon.
Bring in this postcard to receive 10% off all products in the store.
Valid on Saturday, May 25th only!

Entertainment: Geoff Akins-Hannah, Bubble Wonders, has been entertaining, educating and empowering children and adults alike worldwide for over 30 years, with his gentle spirit and sense of humour. Bubble Wonders is fun and inspiring, using bubbles to captivate his audience and teach that "Anything is Possible".

Treats: There will be tea and organic cake from Okanagan Bakehouse, as well as vegan and gluten-free cupcakes made by Brittyn Cretelli. Brittyn is a Co-op member starting her own business -- she's 12-years-old!

Learn: There will be a poster highlighting the Co-op's previous accomplishments and future plans!

Member Appreciation Potluck

Sunday May 26th, 3:00-8:00pm
Open to all Monashee Community Co-op members and their families. Join us for a member appreciation potluck dinner at Timber Ridge Trails.

Any musicians are welcome to join in! Bring your favourite homemade dish to share, as well as a lawn chair or blanket for sitting at the campfire.
3:00-5:30 - Games and conversation
5:30 - Potluck Dinner
7:00 - Entertainment and Volunteer Appreciation

Say hello to Jim Kennedy, the Co-op's volunteer maintenance person. In his spare time Jim loves to split fire wood and enjoys archery. Jim's favourite product at the Co-op is the raisins! 

Thank you Jim for fixing things for us! You do a wonderful job!

Vendor Highlight: Sweet Haven Farms
