Champions of Kindness

We are proud to share the following stories of those giving back in our real estate and lighting community. Your excellence does not go unnoticed.

Our Response to COVID-19
Claire Ruppert of WC Smith

Claire Ruppert, a community manager at WC Smith’s Frontenac and Clarence House apartments, launched a program for her residents called Covid Companions, a program that allows residents to volunteer to be a “companion” for others struggling during COVID-19.
David Hillman of Southern Management Corporation

AOBA’s new “Maverick” Award will honor the memory of a leader who was noted for his exceptional and innovative commitment to both his industry and community.
“David was the true definition of a maverick – a visionary, a leader, a teacher, and a champion of others”

—Suzanne Hillman, President and CEO of Southern Management
Together We Go Farther

On Sunday May 21, 2020, Derick Associates donated $25,000 to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund to support the important work they are doing for racial justice. We have made it our personal mission to stand together, help each other, love one another and, most importantly, take action where action is imperative.
Lars Eller of the Washington Capitals

Lars Eller and his wife selflessly donated far-UVC lighting technology to help the Central Union Mission, a nonprofit that runs a homeless shelter near Union Station.

We are proud to share those giving back in our real estate community. If you know any champions of kindness, please email us or join in our conversation using the hashtag #LetsKeeptheLightsOn on LinkedIn or Facebook.

We want to share their acts of service so we can highlight their commitment to making our area the best place to live. Thank you very much for making our community a better place. Together, #LetsKeeptheLightsOn
