Early-Summer Festival With Minor Clothing, Tomoro Pottery Studio Sale & More! 6/3 - 6/4
In the spirit of celebrating our AAPI community, and to kick off some fun summer festival feels, we're excited and honored to host a multi-vendor "omatsuri-style" gathering for our eleventh Good Company, kicking off with Minor, a sustainable children's clothing brand founded by Diana Evans!
As a professional licensed children's apparel designer, Diana Evans founded Minor in 2020 to be a sustainable fashion brand centered in responsibility—not only to the planet, but also to the end user of her garments. Inspired by her bi-cultural background enjoying Japanese festivals in the summertime and mending clothes on a military base in Hawaii, Diana translates traditional Japanese silhouettes from her childhood into timeless designs for

modern kiddos, with garments that will be wearable for their younger siblings or cousins to enjoy down the line. We're very excited to welcome Diana Evans and hope you check out our full Good Company interview with Diana down below where she shares her thoughts on responsible fashion and how she sees Minor being part of a major shift towards raising a healthier planet. Please come by and see her heartfelt collection in person!

Returning to Tortoise for our eleventh Good Company market event is also our good friend and local ceramic artist, Tomoko Morisaki. Tomoko will be bringing an assortment of pottery for a fun studio sale of one-of-a-kind ceramics. You can expect to see a touch of wabi sabi in her selection, with unique pieces that have shape and color variations, also samples and prototypes from years past, along with

a few items that Tomoko made just for fun! If you're a fan of Tomoro Pottery (aren't we all), you won't want to miss this chance to meet Tomoko and view these rarely seen studio works! You can find our previous Good Company interview with Tomoko Morisaki here and see our regular Tomoro Pottery pieces down below at the jump. Please come by on Sat, June 3rd and Sun, June 4th to get your ceramic fix!

Of course it wouldn't be an "omatsuri-style" gathering without something just for the kids! Come and join our Good Company workshop area just for the kids where we'll be making sweet flower crowns and origami paper kabuto helmets! Crowns and helmets, and tutorials are all free until supplies last. We also hope to bring in a real life kabuto helmet for any boys and girls who want to try it on and feel like a warrior!
