Hi Piedmont Pediatrics Families!

Another week of quarantine has come and gone. Congratulations for yet again being rock star parents! It may not always feel like it but you really are doing an amazing job. This weeks newsletter includes tips for our youngest patients as well as an important update on well child visits!

Newborn Care During COVID-19

Our newest patients are requiring special care during these uncertain times. This article from the Mayo Clinic is a great resource for parents of newborns.

Many complaints can be handled thru a telemedicine visit, such as allergies, rashes, feeding and sleeping concerns, ADHD follow ups, behavior consultations, and MORE. Click here to learn more about our Tele-Medicine appointments.

Please Do Not Skip Your Well Visits And Vaccinations

The CDC has reported a "notable decrease" in the number of vaccines ordered through federal programs that immunize half of the kids in the U.S. As social distancing measures are relaxed these children are vulnerable to diseases. The American Academy of Pediatrics is asking all pediatricians to encourage parents to bring their children in for vaccinations and other important visits. Piedmont Pediatrics has implemented measures to keep your kids safe, including additional cleaning of all exam rooms and common areas and we are scheduling well checks for earlier in the day.

If you needed to cancel your well child checkup in March or April, please call to reschedule.
