And it's actually in March, ftw. We must be getting better at this stuff.
Read on for an update on what we've been up to, news on the the Squirrel and the interesting tech news that grabbed our attention this month.
Matt's mostly mad media mayhem March
March was a bit nuts media-y-wise. Not only did we feature in 'The Panel' in the GP, but Matt presented not only at the Bright Futures 'Future of Work' event but also at the inaugural Barclay's Digital Eagles 'AI Frenzy'. He also somehow got mentioned on (literally) the world's most famous and long-running .NET podcast... all the while putting a client's CRS project live. Mental!
Meanwhile, Marc has been assisting a client with a new non-Financial-Services-related-yet-somehow-still-regulatory-reporting web service (we love regulatory reporting); Dan has been updating our bespoke credit card processing software for some new industry changes aaaaaand working on a new Sharepoint-based DMS; whilst Ben and George have been applying liberal quantities of polish to... the Squirrel.
Ou est le sodding Squirrel?
Speaking of which.. we are pleased (and amazed) to say that we're actually somehow on track to deliver our first 'product-slash-service-slash-thing' - sort of, moreorless - on time, as planned.
Hah. Alright, we're waaaay behind our original schedule... but only because this actually really matters to us.
Enough. What is it?
www.[Classifed!!].gg is a new aggregator service that's (maybe, hopefully) going to disrupt the property, vehicle and job markets in Guernsey.
We start our internal / private Alpha testing on 1st April (no, seriously), with public Beta planned for mid-April, and, all things being well - a public launch in May.
The EU made a mockery of their own GDPR fines - Google's privacy fine last month was made to look like spare change compared to the $1.7b fine for unfair activities fine. Which is *still* spare change to them.
Throwback: how moral are you? Matej reminded us of the awesome / horrible moral machine test that is not only causing not inconsiderable internal dilemmas - but also shaping the future of autonomous-car-decision-making. Frightening.

Tech Twits
This month's Twitter-action has been mostly dominated by Matt unashamedly getting his speak on; but in the midst were these likely Guernsey lads debating on the importance of tech skills and this beauty of a printer error. Follow us on @cortex_gg for a regular dose.
Upcoming events
March is looking busy for us on the 'actually-doing-work' front so we'll be taking a mini-break from the excessive media stuff.
But if you want to book one of the team to talk gibberish in your next event / publication / broadcast - do feel free to get in touch. We do know some stuff - honest!
