Sunday Morning - Sermon
Last week, James taught us the importance of a correct view of God, especially when we are going through trials.  This week, in James 1:19-27, he wants to make sure we have a correct approach to the Christian life:  both listening to and living out what God says to us in his Word.

Sunday Evening
  • Youth Group, 5:00-6:30 PM, CE Center.
  • Both of Randy West's Small Groups will meet together, 5:30 PM, Long Family Farm.

Giving
As you are able, please remember your offering, which is both an act of worship and partnership in the mission.  For those gathered at the church building, offering boxes will be available to receive your offering.  For those at home, we have our online giving option, but of course you can still mail us a check if you prefer.  Our mailing address is 102 S Seminary Avenue, Mt. Morris, IL  61054.

Worth a Look...
Printed below is an excerpt from Chaplain Jay Lerette's most recent ministry update.  Read it and be encouraged, EFCMM!

The Evangelical Free Church of Mt. Morris, IL, made up 200 Trucker Snack Packs and personally brought them to the Rochelle Chapel.  That allowed me to pass out gospel tracts and share the plan of salvation with 200 drivers here at the Petro.

Rick, a dear Christian brother and soul winner, and I had 3 gift bags left.  Rick handed Tony a bag and gospel tract and shared Jesus with him, while Tony sat in his truck and listened.

Tony said, "You know, I have been thinking a lot about God lately and where I would spend eternity if I died.  I need Jesus to save me and guide me in my life."

I climbed up on the running board of his truck and said, "Repent and pray right now for forgiveness and surrender to Jesus."  He did just that, then Rick and I prayed for him.

Tony said, "When I woke up this morning I never thought I would surrender my life to Jesus at a truck stop today!"  He held his gift bag up, and with tears in his eyes said, "Please tell the church thank you for caring for us truck drivers out here; it's a hard, lonely life."

Thank you EFCMM, for sharing the love of Christ through these snack packs!
