EFCMM continues to follow state government guidelines regarding large-group gatherings through the month of May. Please join us on-line for worship on Sunday at 10:00 AM. You can find us on Facebook or You Tube. If you invite someone to join you, please gather responsibly.
Sunday Morning - Sermon
Ruth 3 is a fascinating and perplexing chapter. As Christians, we instinctively look for ways this short story of redemption foreshadows the big picture of salvation. But then we find questionable decisions made by admirable characters, so what does it all mean? We can see that even our good-but-imperfect stories point us to God’s great love story that still awaits its happy ending.
Sunday Evening - No Virtual Meetings
Honoring Our Graduates: If you have an eighth-grade, high school or college graduate in your family, please inform the church office by May 18. Even though it may look different this year, we intend to honor our high school graduates as we have done in the past.
Samuel Soldiers: While we don’t know if/when we will hold Promotion Exercises, we do want to continue our practice of presenting a Bible to our graduating fourth-grade students. This year we have 3 students who will each need a Samuel Soldier. Samuel Soldiers will help purchase the Bible ($15) and pray for the student. Contact Debbie Steingraber or the church office to volunteer.
Giving Thank you for your faithful giving to EFCMM during these uncertain times. Your generosity is a gracious reminder of God's provision and care for his family, the church. As you are able, please remember your offering, which is both an act of worship and partnership in the mission. This might be the time to try our online giving option (which you can always find on our website), but of course you can still mail us a check if you prefer. Our mailing address is 102 S Seminary Avenue, Mt. Morris, IL 61054.
Worth a Look...
“Fear is contagious. But thankfully, so is courage. Both are cultivated in the company we keep and the truths that dominate our thinking. For the Christian, the guardrails for our fear in any situation are God’s presence and his promises, which will never fail his people. Because of that, we are stronger than we think we are because Jesus, who is in us, with us, and for us, is stronger even than death.” Tim Keesee
Memories can help keep us close while practicing social distancing. These photos capture the joy and warmth of fellowship at our "All Daughters' Luncheon" in 2015.
