EFCMM continues to follow state government guidelines regarding large-group gatherings through April 7.  Please join us on-line for worship at 10:00 AM on Sunday; you can find us on Facebook or You Tube.  If you invite someone to join you, please gather responsibily.

Luke 22:63 – 23:25 tells the story of Jesus on trial.  If there was ever a travesty of justice, it was this:  the only truly innocent Man was condemned to a horrifying death.  But as 1 Peter 3:18 says, “Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God…”  See the injustice he endured… for you.

Sunday Evening
  • 5:00 PM  Youth Group:  On-Line gathering.

Thank you for your generosity towards EFCMM during this time.  As you are able, please remember your offering, which is both an act of worship and partnership in the mission.  This might be the time to try our online giving option (which you can always find on our website), but of course you can still mail us a check if you prefer.  Our mailing address is 102 S Seminary Avenue, Mt. Morris, IL  61054.
Worth A Look...

CityAlight is a worship band from a church in Australia, and they have been the source of several new songs for our congregation in recent months.  Logan introduced this one to us last week:  “God Is For Us.”  Watch this video, and you’ll be ready to sing it again!

EFCMM Memories
While we're sheltering in place, it's fun to look through old photos and be reminded of our connections, past and present...

When Jake Mennen placed second in Pole Vault at the IHSA Division 1 Track & Field Finals on May 25, 2019, he was awarded a medal for his 14-9 jump.

But he wasn't the first in our EFCMM family to receive a medal for Pole Vault; Gordy Bell holds that distinction!  Gordy is the Illinois State Pole Vault champion for the 1952-53 school year.  As a senior at Oak Park, Gordy's vault of 12-6 catapulted him into first place in the entire state, at a time when there were no divisions according to school size.

Gordy was able to accompany Jake to some of his meets last spring as one of his enthusiastic fans.  Jake is now a student at College of the Ozarks in Missouri.  He was awarded a pole-vault scholarship, but the season is currently on hiatus due to COVID-19.

Next Week At-A-Glance

  • Virtual Prayer Gathering:  Wednesday, 7:00 PM
  • Council of Elders:  Thursday, 6:00 PM
