For Sunday, March 15, we will gather at 10:00 AM for worship only.  There will be NO Sunday School, Inner-Mission or Children's Choir practice.  For details, read below our response to Coronavirus and COVID-19.

Sunday Morning - Sermon
Luke 22:35-53 tells us more about the night before Jesus’ death on the cross.  In the final moments before his arrest, he agonizes in prayer, knowing the pain that lies ahead.  While there are lessons for us regarding submission to God, this is primarily for us to stand in awe of Christ and what he was willing to do for us.

Sunday Afternoon & Evening
  • 12:00 PM  Faith & Finance, Fellowship Hall
  • Youth Group does NOT meet

Responding to the Coronavirus and COVID-19
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 8:38-39

As Christians, we are not surprised by suffering and death, and we have a greater hope in Christ that nothing can destroy.  It is in this light that we face the current challenge of a global pandemic.
While there may be more difficult days yet ahead, for now we want to take appropriate steps to respond to current conditions.
What We Have Done
  • Sanitized nursery toys, etc.
  • Sanitized surfaces such as door handles and counters
  • Consulted our local health department and CDC guidelines regarding our response
What We Ask You to Do
  • Avoid touch such as handshakes
  • Wash hands and use sanitizer
  • Put your offering in the box as you enter or exit the sanctuary (no plates will be passed).  To give online click here.
  • Don’t share items (stirring spoons, sign-up pens)
And if you are sick or more vulnerable, JUST STAY HOME!
Going forward, we will be evaluating whether or not to cancel worship services and other events.  We will also explore additional ways to connect our congregation online.
Fear or Faith?
Of course we should operate out of faith and not fear, but that doesn’t rule out wisdom and love for neighbors.  Take this time to seek God in prayer and be open to how you can serve others.  Finally, of the many articles to read out there, this is a good start:
