St Paul Council met August 25, during this meeting members of the council spoke about in person worship. They decided that as long as Clinton Public Schools are meeting in person, St. Paul will worship in person. If/when the schools go all online, St. Paul will worship online only as well.

Worship will continue to proceed cautiously each week with one short service of Holy Communion at the usual time, 9:15 am. If you are planning on attending in-person worship we ask that if possible you let us know in advance. This will help us prepare for your arrival.

Would you be willing to help out with worship? We are in need of 2 Greeters each week and one Assisting Minister.

You can let us know you will be attending or
helping with worship by:

Members of the St. Paul Congregation

For your safety, we would like to provide you with the information you need to write this year's 2020 Bread for the World's Offering of Letters from your home. The theme for this year is "Better Nutrition, Better Tomorrow", and following is an example  letter and address of nearby offices of our Senators and Representatives. Please use your note paper or cards, and help give more children throughout the world a chance to grow and thrive by making your voice heard in Congress. Please let us know (by emailing the office at office@saintpaulclinton.org or calling 563-242-4102 and selecting option 3) how many letters you have written by September 30 so we may give a count for St. Paul to Bread for the World.

Dear Senator/Representative_____________,

In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, it is critical that our nation invest in nutrition programs for the most valuable in our own country and abroad.

I urge you to cosponsor S1918 "Hunger-Free Summer for Kids Act, " which would expand this program nationwide.

I also urge you to support legislation that strengthens U.S. leadership on global nutrition and that increases funding for maternal and child nutrition. Because of chronic malnutrition, too many children suffer stunted mental and physical development.

As our nation and the world face this global health crisis, my faith calls me to stand alongside vulnerable people. Thank you for your leadership in helping meet these urgent needs.

Sincerely,
