Dear ones,

Happy Khanike, beginning of vaccine rollout, and end of 2020! We have new merch for you, some new live videos, and an update on our new album. But first! A word from our sponsors:

They're a treat, to be sure.

The Antifa Kugelbook... finished, printed, and ready to send to you! This is our recipe book for stirring up trouble, a collaboration with the community. It's beautiful, it's got a glossy cover, and you can get a copy at-cost ($5 + shipping) OR you can throw some extra cash our way to help us raise funds to finish editing and mastering our upcoming album.

This is a great time to support the artists and musicians who've been keeping us all going this past year. Give The Holiday Spirit the old fuck off by stocking up on the latest Jewish antifascist literature this winter!

A shaynem dank to everyone who contributed to this project, and to everyone who has ordered copies so far. Now that they are in stock we are sending them out within a couple days, but bewarned that USPS has been overwhelmed by Christmas season and a pandemic, so some orders are taking longer to arrive.

In related news, after a brief hiatus in poor neglected January, Bandcamp Fridays (when Bandcamp waives their revenue share for the day) will be returning in February, 2021. Do you prefer your news delivered in the form of infinitely specifiable urls as yes/no questions? If so, feel free to refresh regularly for updates.

The Album Recording... done! Two weekends ago we managed to record the last four songs at Alex and Rae's beautiful new studio in Olympia. We are extremely grateful to Brian Lindsay, Alex and housemates, Stef's housemates, all of our pod-people, and each other for making this possible in a way that balanced aesthetic, logistical, and health priorities in these complicated times.

The album is gonna have 13 songs (lucky number), recorded over the span of 13 months, some songs well-worn and audience-tested, others learned entirely at a distance with harmonies filtered through layers of cotton. Keep an eye out for singles and pre-orders in the coming months.

Lastly, in our traditionally ambivalent spirit of Khanike, please enjoy this video of us goofing around/being mournful on Stef's deck, as part of a virtual show last weekend.
