It is now mid April, taxes are past due, and Pesach is nigh upon us. This year we will be facilitating a musical 7th-night sederesque event, featuring real talk, spicy roots, and some new songs. We hope you'll be there! Together our eyes will water with joy, suffering, and pollen. It's on Thursday the 25th, do you have plans? Probably not, it's a Thursday. And you can never have too many seders.
We also have a couple exciting gigs coming up in May. We'll be playing a Seattle Folklore Society concert with Kesselgarden at the Phinney Center Concert Hall in just a few weeks, and we are honored to return to Folklife the Monday of memorial day weekend, with Bellows and Squawk. More details of upcoming shows below.
In case you missed it, a great article came out just a couple days ago in Jewish in Seattle Magazine about the Yiddish, activist, and musical communities in Seattle. Which is to say, about us, and you!
We'd also like to welcome to the mailing list our new friends from our Bellingham and Olympia shows last month! And we want to thank Audrey and Sarah for the use of their cars during our recent travels. We felt blessed by the craftily hidden CD player, we remembered how to drive stick, and our left feet are itching to return to these fair cities soon.
Lastly, we posted some goodies on our sporadically-used YouTube account. Please feast your senses on Practicing a New Song, Maia making a patch and, in honor of Passover, Asking a Question. For more quotidian gems like this, check out our Instagram.
