Dear ones,

It was such a treat to play at the Northwest Folklife Festival last weekend for the second year in a row!

At our Folklife set, we reaffirmed that our fans are the best. Immediately after the show, we learned that the venue was at capacity, and that many friends and fans could not get in! We were so sad, and we want to make it up to you. Do you have a living room or porch? If so:

Please consider hosting us for a house show!
  • We are very friendly and enjoy cats and vegan dinners.
  • We can play amped or acoustically.
  • We want to serenade you, your friends, and your plants.
  • Reply directly to this email to coordinate.

In the meantime, we are in the process of booking shows for the summer, and we will let you know as soon as we have more information to share.

On your radar - New music

For the last few months we've been hard at work on some new music. We are especially excited about one song in particular, which is our most original piece yet. It has been very enriching to dive into it together as a full collaboration, and to more deeply explore the meaning of "translation". (Linguistic? Historic? Geometric?) We hope to work up our performance of this new song at upcoming shows, and release it as a single later this summer.

In related news, it has now been one year since our first album came out! And we noticed recently that we have a lot of new songs! Songs worthy of being recorded!

Our first album was a very DIY affair. We'd like to kick it up a notch for the production of our second album, so we are beginning to explore raising funds for this endeavor. Costs will include studio time (recording, mixing, mastering), materials, production, and possibly distribution. As we get more clarity on the scope of this project, we will be reaching out to you for assistance. Keep an eye on our social media or a follow-up email for more news.

Meanwhile please enjoy these videos and pictures of our recent shows!

Google Photos made this animation of us busking after our Folklife set. As if we weren't already animated enough. #thanksgoogle
