ANIMAL HEALTH IN THE HEARTLAND: AUGUST 18-19

IowaBio and Bio Nebraska are excited to announce the fourth installment of Animal Health in the Heartland, with this year's focus on Whole Animal Health. The symposium will be held virtually via Zoom on Tuesday, August 18th and Wednesday, August 19th. Each day will feature two Tracks of presentations to choose from in the morning. Attendees can attend presentations from a single Track or pick and choose between the various presentation options. Following a brief lunch break, attendees will be invited back to participate in a Speaker Meet & Greet, where they can continue discussions and pose additional questions to event presenters and hosts.

Whole Animal Health
The animal health industry is using cutting-edge research and innovation to provide solutions to address today’s animal health needs and combat growing health threats, which seem to be coming at a faster pace than ever. These discoveries don’t address just one area of animal health, but span a wide range of approaches to holistically look at all aspects of animal health and their impacts on human health, our food supply, and the environment. From new vaccines, to reduced antibiotic usage, to healthier feed additives, to advances in technology and data that assist producers, today’s tools to improve animal health are not isolated, but thoughtfully inter-connected.

Symposium Tracks
With the move to a virtual symposium, we had the opportunity to bring on more presentations and divide them amongst four topic Tracks. Each Track will host four presentations and will a great way to learn more about your topic of interest or provide you with a broad overview of what is the latest and greatest in improving all aspects of animal health.
Vaccines: Collaborative Development, Manufacturing Strategies and Effective Uses
This Track will explore the growing role of novel vaccines in animal health and how stakeholders should work together to ensure the development and employment of efficacious vaccines in a safe and timely manner.
Technology on Today's Smart Farm
This Track will look at the use of artificial intelligence, data collection and connectivity on the farm and how these advances in technology improve animal health and increase farm operation efficiencies.
Advancements in Probiotics and Animal Feed
This Track will explore the development and introduction of new probiotic and feed products into livestock and the positive health effects they provide while eliminating the dependency on antibiotics.
Overcoming Challenges: Regulatory Pathways, Facing Pandemics, and Making Rapid Decisions
This Track provides a broad look at the way innovation meets and overcomes challenges on the path to success. From understanding and navigating regulatory hurdles, to stepping up during pandemics, to being able to respond at a moment’s notice to the consumer’s needs, these presentations will showcase how organizations face the challenges head-on to improve animal health in a successful and ethical manner.
