Friday, Governor Kim Reynolds signed a new Public Health Disaster proclamation that extends the proclamation in place and its critical regulatory relief, for an additional 30 days (through April 4).
The proclamation continues to strongly encourage Iowans, businesses, and organizations to take reasonable public health measures consistent with guidance from the Iowa Department of Public Health.
The overall number of vaccines administered is 892,815 an increase of 124,389 since Friday, with 332,264 receiving their first dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine and 280,254 receiving their second dose. If you need a vaccine appointment, vaccinate.iowa.gov has launched to help connect Iowans eligible for the vaccine with providers. For vaccine eligibility information and timelines click here.
Currently, on the state’s coronavirus dashboard 367,154 positive tests were reported, up 1,099 from our update Friday morning, with a total of 4,147,210 tests.
22 additional deaths were reported since our last update, bringing the total to 5,558 deaths.
The total 14 day rolling average positivity rate is 4.1% the past 7-day average is 4.1%.
The latest on hospitalizations, can be found here. There are currently 168 hospitalized patients—up 1 since yesterday-- with 37 in the ICU, and 29 admitted in the last 24 hours.
