This Week in Youth Ministry
Last night we had ROCK with all those preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation! It was a fun evening. We played an engaging game and followed with teaching on the creed and the four marks of the Church.
Parents: Here are some discussion topics and questions you can ask your teens to follow up with from last night:
1. The teens did a worksheet with I believe statements- have the teens share about their I believe statements. Ask them why they believe those things.
2. Who are some of the people that have influenced you in your life that have helped you form those belief statements?
3. What types of things do you struggle with when it comes to your Catholic faith and why?
We also handed out a group picture from Luke 18. If your child did not receive one they will be handed out at school or PSR.
All 8th graders and High Schoolers join us Wednesday, November 20 at Sts. Joachim and Ann from 7-9pm for our next Disciples. This will be a fun one, celebrating the end of the liturgical year with Christ the King readings.
This Sunday, November 24 join us for Youth Mass at 6:30pm at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton followed by our Sunday Fun Day! We will be playing games, there will be food and lots of fun, friends and fellowship. We will meet in the Parish Hall/Church Basement until 9pm.
There will be NO Disciples on Wednesday, November 27-
We will have the 6:30pm Regional Youth Mass on Sunday, December 1 but NO Life Night- enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with your family. We are thankful and grateful for all of you in our lives and hope that this holiday fills you with gratitude for the many gifts and blessings that we have.
Next ROCK night for those preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation is Sunday, December 8 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton starting with the 6:30pm Youth Mass until 9pm.
Families are welcome to join us for Mass.
For Adult women who are looking for something to enhance your Advent, please consider attending Advent by Candlelight on Sunday, December 8 at St. Robert Bellarmine from 4-8pm. All proceeds from the night will be going to IMPACT and Seedbearers. They are also collecting items for the Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service. Please contact Linda Piontek for more information at email@example.com or 636-293-1386.
We are praying for you and your family and hope that this upcoming holiday season is filled with much joy and laughter. May the love of Christ fill your hearts and increase as we prepare for a beautiful Advent season.
