Monthly newsletter of Wahiawa United Methodist Church
January 2022
Dear Church Family,
I hope that you are continuing to take care and stay safe as COVID-19 cases rise on Oahu and across the country. If you have not already and you are able, I encourage you and your family to get your booster shots, while also continuing to to wear masks and social distance.
With the consultation of medical professionals Leo Pascua and Lori Kaneshige, we have decided to continue our hybrid service with an in-person option. A reminder that each week you will need to RSVP if you plan to worship in the sanctuary. If you have any symptoms, possible exposure, or a preexisting condition, please worship from home via Zoom.
This holiday season has been difficult because so many of us expected our situation to be better by now. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are in need of prayer, conversation, or support. You are not alone.
Many blessings,
Pastor Jessica

In January, we will continue to follow the same COVID-19 safety protocols. Please remember to RSVP each week if you're coming in person, and to bring your Communion elements on the first Sunday of the month. Thank you for your continued flexibility!
As we begin 2022, we want to take a moment to celebrate our ministries in 2021 and thank everyone who made them possible. We are grateful for the ways that God has been faithful! As part of our December Charge Conference, District Superintendent Lee asked each church to create a video on the theme of parables of the pandemic. We hope you will enjoy Jay's beautiful creation recapping our ministries in 2021.
The new year is an opportunity to start a new spiritual practice. On an ongoing basis, our church orders copies of the The Upper Room devotional for our community members to take home and use for prayer and reflection.
The January-February issue has arrived! Contact Jay at office@wahiawaumc.org or 622-4361 if you would like a copy mailed to your home. There is also a large-print version available.
