Dear Church Family,
Blessed Advent! I am so grateful that we are able to gather again for worship in our newly reroofed sanctuary. A huge thank you to Bob, Jameson, and all our volunteers who are making hybrid worship possible.
Advent is a season of preparation and anticipation. During the four Sundays before Christmas, our liturgical colors change from green to purple, which signifies both our repentance and the reign of Christ. Each week, one of our church families will light the candles of the Advent wreath as we prepare our hearts for Jesus' birth.

Join us tonight! Our annual Charge Conference will be Wednesday, December 1 at 7 p.m. on Zoom. You can go to zoom.us/j/92224582500 or dial 1-669-900-6833 and enter 92224582500#). This year, only the members of our single Board will be allowed to vote as this is technically a "charge conference" rather than a "church conference." All are welcome, however, to join the meeting to observe. If you still need a copy of our church's reports, please reach out to Pastor Jessica. (Note there will be a separate private meeting at 6 p.m. using a different Zoom link when our single Board members will meet with District Superintendent Moonyoung Lee to discuss staff-parish relations.)
Join us for our annual Christmas Eve candlelight service on Christmas Service on Friday, December 24 at 7 p.m. You can worship in person or on Zoom. If you plan to attend in person, please RSVP so we know how many people to expect!
If you're joining us in person, please remember to RSVP separately for each week! This includes members of our worship and volunteer teams.
Preregistration - Seating will initially be limited to 50 people. Each week, everyone who wants to attend in person will need to preregister. Preregister by using this link or calling Jay at 622-4361.
Check-in Process - Plan to arrive at church at least 15 minutes early. Our volunteer team will scan your temperature, ask you questions about symptoms and exposure, and usher you to your seat.
Safety Protocol - Facemasks will be required at all times. We will abide by 6-feet social distancing between households.
Physical Items - We will not provide paper bulletins or hymnals. Instead, you can print your bulletin in advance or read it off of your smartphone. If you need a seat cushion, please bring one from home.
Communion - On the first Sunday of each month, you are invited to bring your own Communion elements from home.
We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work out the technological and logistical challenges of hybrid worship. Due to the limitations of our capacity, the best audio and visual experience will always be in person. We look forward to seeing you soon!
CCC will offer another cookie decorating DIY kit! Reserve your cookie kits by Wednesday, December 15. Contact Chuck at 808-722-6002 or chuckxgan@yahoo.com. Pickup will be Sunday, December 19 after worship or by drive-thru from 1-2 p.m. at church.

November was a busy month at Wahiawa United Methodist Church! Mahalo Rosie, Susan, and the Missions Committee for organizing our enthusiastic, beautifully outfitted contingent at the 75th Annual Wahiawa Veteran's Day Celebration!
And thank you to Doris, Chuck, and the Congregational Care Committee for delivering Thanksgiving baskets to our kupuna over 90 years old! They were much appreciated.
