If prompted enter passcode: 382582. If you are in the DC area, you can also dial in using phone number +1 301 715 8592. If you have relatives elsewhere who would like to dial in, please email office@walkerchapel.org. You can also invite your friends on Facebook to our Zoom here.
Then, at 8PM on Christmas Eve, you are invited to step outside and join in singing Silent Night. Our prayer is that you will experience a NOT SO SILENT NIGHT!
A Not So 🌟 Silent Night 🌟
While we may not be able to gather in-person to celebrate the birth of 🙏 Christ, that does not mean we are to remain silent.
Wherever you are on 🎄 Christmas Eve 🎄, step outside at 8:00PM and join us as we, together, sing Silent Night. Light a candle 🕯 or luminary as you are able to. Take a selfie, go live on social media, or call ☎ a relative or friend to share the joy ✨ of 🎄 Christmas with others. If you share a picture or video on social media, we would love for you to use the hashtag #NotSoSilentNight.
Special Offering--
Your generous donation to the Advent/Christmas special offering can help make up part of Walker Chapel’s benevolence fund shortfall this year, due to the Covid-19 cancellation of Aprilfest and Octoberfest. All funds from this offering go to support carefully selected local, national, and international benevolences (see https://www.walkerchapel.org/benevolence/) serving the homeless, hungry, sick, and needy. Because these organizations have been so severely impacted by the pandemic, this year they especially need our full support.
Please mail a generous check to the church office marked “Advent/Easter Offering”, or donate on-line (visit the Walker Chapel website at http://www.walkerchapel.org/payments/ and then select the “Advent/Easter Offering” fund option.) Whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Announcements--
Staff Christmas Gift
Walker Chapel has a tradition of expressing special appreciation to our pastor and other ministry staff during the Christmas season. In this year of pandemic, staff members have had to pivot abruptly to new roles and new ways of performing ministry in safe and responsible ways. As ever, Walker Chapel is so grateful for their service and for keeping us connected. For those who would like to participate in this year's staff gift, the Pastor/ Staff-Parish Relations Committee suggests online donations at www.walkerchapel.org/payments/ or gifts mailed to the church office (4102 N Glebe Road, Arlington 22207), marked for staff gift. Our congregation is so fortunate to have such an excellent staff, and we are thankful for their ministry throughout the year.
