On our Zoom coffee hour over the weekend some of you expressed interest in seeing Lynne's son, Aubrey perform this week. I highly recommend having tuned in a few times the past few weeks! Here's how you can:
Here's a nice note from Pastor Lynne about the concert: Aubrey is a singer/songwriter in Nashville and we all know that downtown Nashville is currently closed. If you enjoy music, Herb and I invite you to tune in this evening, 8PM EST.
Actually, this has become a very relaxing break from our stay at home order. We have grown accustomed to looking forward to seeing friends and family and listening to good music on Wednesday nights. Hope to “see” you at the concert tonight!
I hope to "see" you too!
PS -- We've kept the food drive going, so if you're doing grocery shopping this week, pick up a few things for our neighbors experiencing a critical need. Thank you to the 40+ families from in and around #NorthArlington, #OldGlebe who participated in our food drive this past weekend. We raised over $1500 for Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) and filled the fellowship hall with donations. ~3 out of the 5 participants were non-Chapel members and it was truly wonderful to meet so many new people (at a distance) from the neighborhood!
Drop off food or checks (written to Walker Chapel UMC) *this Saturday* April 25 from 1-3pm at Walker Chapel, 4102 N Glebe Rd. and *Sunday, April 26* from 1-3pm. You can also donate money directly through the Facebook donate button here. The need is dire and your support is so appreciated!
