Priorities in a Pandemic
Greetings MCCLV,
We pray for health and well-being for all during this time of challenges and changes. MCCLV's Board of Directors would like you to know of its current priorities in the midst of the pandemic: Our number one priority is to provide food assistance to those in need. Since March 15, MCCLV has provided $3,500 in grocery store gift cards and gas cards to people around the Lehigh Valley. Our second priority as a church is to provide spiritual support. Since March 15, the Deacons and Pastor have made over 500 contacts of MCCLV members and friends through phone calls, emails, text messages, social media contact or postal mail.
We also have three accounts payable priorities: We believe God's people are our most precious resource, so MCCLV's staff payroll is our number one accounts payable priority. We believe that contracted responsibilities remain critical, so MCCLV's 8% assessment of every tithe/gift to the MCC denomination, along with the monthly rental obligation are our second accounts payable funding priority. We believe that God will continue to provide guidance and wisdom on whether and how much to fund other items in the 2020 Budget. Any changes will be communicated as quickly as possible to the congregation. Praise be to God for God's steadfast love and faithfulness. Happy Easter season from your Board of Directors, we are honored to serve God with you here at MCCLV.
