Leadership Opportunities @ MCCLV

Are you experiencing a call from God to serve in leadership at MCCLV? For 2021, there will be three open Board positions. Additionally, there is an open Outreach & Justice Ministry Coordinator position. After time in prayer and discernment, for those wanting to move forward: job descriptions and a leadership application can be viewed at this link:

These are volunteer positions: email completed leadership applications to Applications for the Board are due October 15 and are included in the annual Congregational Meeting packet. The Board election is held at the annual Congregational Meeting on November 15 @ 1pm. FYI, applicants do not run for a specific Board position - upon election, the Board determines in what capacity each member will serve. Ministry Coordinator applications are due on September 15. Praise God for the opportunity to serve God through the faith community of MCCLV.

Get Out the Vote Meeting

MCCLV's Action Team promotes opportunities to participate in the fight against bigotry and poverty in the United States. The Team is currently focused on a 3 month project to encourage members of the Lehigh Valley community to vote. There will be a special meeting to develop a strategy for this project on Friday, August 21 at 7pm via Zoom: Meeting ID: 861 7935 9552. All are welcome at the gathering - there are a variety of tasks and skill-sets needed. Commitment is expected to be 30 minutes a week for all participating in MCCLV's Get Out the Vote efforts.

Signup for MCCLV's in-person worship on August 23 and/or August 30 can be found here:

Thank you for helping MCCLV worship safely by signing up for a seat in advance:
  • Reminder: Reservations close each week at 9am on Thursdays
  • MCCLV continues with a limit of 25 people for in-person worship
  • All in attendance are required to wear masks and practice physical distancing. There is no congregational singing and also no social hour. Know that it typically takes a few Sundays to become comfortable and adapt to worshiping in this new way.
For those unable to attend in-person, the worship livestream continues every Sunday at 11:30am on Facebook as well as the church's website.
Sunday School Teacher Training

MCCLV Children's Sunday School enthusiastically invites all to consider serving as a teacher or teacher's aide for the 2020-21 school year. Teaching children and youth spiritual values is a vital ministry. All are welcome to attend a Sunday School teacher training on Sunday, August 23 at 10am via Zoom video. An Abundance of Prayer

Join MCCLV Staff Members Rev. Goudy, Brian Jones and a number of local faith leaders in an Interfaith Service of Prayer on Sunday, September 13 @ 7pm.
