e-news from MCCLV

Welders join metal parts together and work on the metal components of various structures including bridges, power plants, buildings, refineries, automobiles or ships. In the church, welding is about connecting people to God and God's people. MCCLV's New Member process is called "WELD" because its purpose is to connect disciples with God and with other disciples.

For the first time ever, MCCLV's WELD New Member classes will be held entirely online. Classes will meet via Zoom on Tuesday nights in October @ 7pm: October 6, 13, 20 and 27.

All are welcome, register for the WELD classes and receive the first homework assignment by emailing MCCLV's Office Administrator Lauren Noll at

Careful of Email Scams

The MCCLV Pastor and other clergy are being used in a gift card scams. The scammer poses as a clergyperson, emails someone directly, says it's "Urgent" or "Important" and then asks the target to purchase gift cards. Do not respond! Know that no clergyperson would ask someone to do this. For things like MCCLV's Grocery Store Gift Card program, funds are done online or via check, never directly to the pastor.

The scammers are becoming more and more talented with each passing year. For instance, in a scam email recently directed to an MCCLV'er, the pastor's address was listed as (the pastor's real address is With everyone so busy, the scammers know that people are not going to check the email address. Unfortunately, there are dishonest people in the world. Prayers for all.
