As a foundation focused on health, we speak up when we feel our voices could bring more weight to issues aligned with our goal of measurably improving the health of vulnerable people in greater Greensboro.
Our advocacy work to close the health care coverage gap through Medicaid expansion goes hand-in-hand with the work our grantees do every day to create greater health care access. Our advocacy allows us to bring our knowledge, gained from strong partnerships and from listening to our grantees, to a deep understanding of state and national policy conversations. Cone Health Foundation is on a journey to understand, embrace and champion equity. Here is a glimpse into some of that work:
In 2020 Cone Health Foundation grantees met and surpassed agreed-upon goals in the fifth year of strategic plan implementation. Despite major disruptions due to pandemic restrictions, the commitment to measurably improve health in Greensboro remains steadfast.
