Is your grant writer a Project Manager?

Members of the Forbes Nonprofit Council released nine traits of grant writers who write great proposals some months ago and they were:

#1
A professional who takes initiative and is impressive in doing so.

#2
A professional who leads with an understanding of the relevance of historical and future data.

#3
An effective writer who is a natural story-teller with a strong sense of urgency.

#4
A professional who is process-oriented and values continuous improvement from a systematic approach.

#5
A professional who is detail-oriented as it can mean the difference between scaling a program or growing an organization's portfolio by 400% -- carpe potestatem!

#6
A relationship-builder who is vested in strategically aligning your organization's goals to that of a grantor's.

#7
An entrepreneur who exhibits palpable leadership and drives innovation as a thought leader in the organization.

#8
A visionary who writes proposals with narratives that are compelling, pressing and reciprocal -- great things only happen in the presence of collaboration.

#9
A professional who is impact-focused -- a great plan is only actionable when it's scope is performance-driven and responsive to change.

What do all of these traits have in common? The embodiment of an experienced (and preferably certified) Project Management Professional.

Now that I've got your attention, let's close with why I am writing you this message.

The front-line of defense against obsolescence for your organization is simple; it's the rigorous and robust application and deployment of project management. How are you preventing loss in competitiveness and profit for your organization? Finding a great grant writer is just as difficult as finding a great Project Manager. After all, grants are projects and should be planned, implemented, monitored, managed and closed as such.

At Tacit Growth Strategies, LLC, we pride ourselves in being the hub for trusted project management consulting with a highly sought after team of experts in IT, construction, grant writing, and government contracting.

Join me for a special opportunity to learn how to write a great grant proposal before the end of the year. 2020 is just a few more days away and it would be a shame to enter the new year with business as usual mentalities, resources, service-models and technologies.
