Dear <<First Name>>,

Have you ever seen these signs?

Hopefully, these signs made you think a bit about the people who were working hard as you drove by... and perhaps, it led to a changed behavior if you were going a little fast, or perhaps you simply smiled and thought of these hard-working folks and how they are people who have families just like you.  The goal of these signs was to humanize the workers and then perhaps, change the behavior of drivers.  The signs acknowledge that the men and women behind the orange cones were often mothers, fathers, daughters, and sons--- if one of them were hurt, it would affect their family members.

Last week I wrote about how we all treated one another with a higher bar of kindness and gentleness following the days and months after 9/11/01.  We knew we were all hurting, and so we responded with gentleness.

When the world shut down in March of 2020 most of us were home, soon many of us were setting up offices in closets, buying new boosters for our wifi, and working, doing school, and everything else ...from home. We saw another side of each other-- on-screen.  I remember hearing my daughters having conversations with their teachers and fellow students.  Everyone wanted to show their pets!  For the first time ever-- we had a window into the lives of those we went to school with and worked with.  Conversations like, "You have a dog?  I do too!"  became a new way we connected when we could not high five or hang out.

In a way-- that humanized the people we worked with and went to school with. We could see each other from a new angle.

Christians are called to see one another the way God sees us-- as children of God, made in God's image.

As we Find our Way, perhaps we can slow down and hear God say, "Slow down-- Watch our for my children!"

My sermon for this Sunday is "Slow down, These are God's Children" based on  Psalm 139: 1-18, Colossians 3:12-17
John 8:1-11.

I hope to see you Sunday in person or online for worship at 8:30 am (Online/In-Person) 9:45 am (Online/In-person), or  11:15 am (In-Person).

In God's Love,
Pastor Beth
In Wednesday's E-Circuit Rider, information about a Celebration of Life for Rev. Angelito "Gel" Samson was shared.

The public portion of the Celebration of Life will begin at 2 pm in the Family Life Center.

Our apologies go to the Samson family for the misinformation.

REMINDER. Midweek’s meals are back in session!!
As many of you know, Midweek Meals are back and in person Wednesday nights from 5:30 – 6:30 PM.  We are no longer providing drive through to-go meals and are back sharing fellowship in the FLC.  This next Wednesday’s meal will be a fan favorite of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and vegetable medley.   Although we can freeze leftovers (if there are any) we cannot make more in a short amount of time.  Therefore, we would love for you to
RSVP in advance as meatloaf goes fast and we want to make sure we will have enough for everyone.  This is a great time with fall starting this month, to start creating our new routine to all get back together.  Click on the link here to RSVP or click the image above and let us know how many people will be with you! RSVP not required to attend, but would be greatly appreciated for planning purposes. See you Wednesday!
During this time when we are physically distant from one another, we are still joined together in prayer.

The deadline for submissions to the E-Circuit Rider is Wednesdays at 10 am. Please send any submissions to Any submissions received after that time will be added to the following week's email.
