Jubilee,

   Yesterday, Jeff Landis shared his message, "Sabbath and Abundant Life."  If you missed it, check it out by clicking the "RECORDING" button above.

       He shared some wisdom from his father J.D. Landis on sabbath and having a rule of life.

       Some ideas that stood out to me were that sabbath is "an essential delivery mechanism for God's grace and goodness in our lives" and that practicing sabbath is an act of resistance by defying "every influence that defines us either by our leadership role or our productivity.... Publicly proclaiming to the world that we are not slaves, but free men and women purchased by the blood of Jesus.

       Yes, please and amen.

        Having a rule of life is one way to intentionally make room for sabbath in your life. The "rule of life" is a discipline that has been used over a thousand years. If you want more information or resources on forming a "rule of life" or if you want help discerning your own, please feel free to reach out. We'd love to hear how you "enjoy rest, practice delight, and contemplate God."

Grateful,
Kelsey Luke

You, God, are my God,

I cling to you;
your right hand upholds me.
