Yesterday as music played Jubilee prayed.  We prayed in our seats, on our feet and through notes slipped into a basket on the altar table.  The Healing Service felt familiar and needed.
As Williams Betancourt anointed and prayed for healing for my broken foot, I felt God's and Jubilee's care.
At Jubilee we pray for each other.  Through those prayers we experience a divine connection with our church community and with our Holy Healer.
Elaine Maust

Prayer Focus

Answer me when I call to you,
my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;
have mercy on me
and hear my prayer.

Psalm 4:1

This week we pray for...

Please pray for Eddie and Sarah Brown, Kaylee and Colby.  Their house burned Saturday night and they ask for your prayers.

Please pray for Pine Lake Camp's staff this week that they will have everything they need to lead and serve.

Ebony Doss asks for prayer for her half-sister whose father died yesterday.

Glenn Myers asks for prayer for Nanih Waiya Church in their pastoral transition.

Sandra Rush asks for prayer for those who are sick and shut-in.

Jenny Bowers asks for prayer for two young men, George and Jack, who were severely injured in a car wreck.

Joel Diener asks for prayer for his father-in-law, Mr. Cornwell, who will have surgery tomorrow.

Theresa Chisolm asks for prayer for a safe trip for her daughter, Jessica, who is traveling to VA.

William Colton asks for prayer for Dee whose mother died recently.

Joslyn Broome-Tucker asks for prayer for her friend’s grandfather who was hospitalized with heart trouble, diagnosed with covid and is now on a respirator.

Sandra Rush gives thanks that despite struggle and difficulty, her granddaughter graduated from High School.

If you have any prayer requests you would like shared in the pastoral prayer time of this Sunday's worship service, please send them to Duane or Elaine Maust.

We are so excited to feature the people who "are" Jubilee so we might get to know each other better! Check back next week to learn about more of Jubilee.

Sherene Broome

Sherene Broome’s favorite Jubilee song is the Hurricane Song because it is the perfect expression of how to focus on the positive side of life’s tribulations.  The person she most admires is her daughter, Joslyn, because no matter what stress or drama she’s in the middle of, Joslyn’s smile still lights up everything around her.
Sherene says the pot luck dish she is most like is the "what is it dish”, because you never know what you’ll get.  (She says she is also like, “the dish that I forgot to bring!”)

Matt Graybill

Matt Graybill’s favorite room at Jubilee is the copy room.  If he was to make a podcast it would be about sports.  Matt’s favorite thing about Jubilee is community and pot-luck.
Send us your stories and pictures to share.
Let's stay connected.

the new creation has come:
The old has gone,
the new is here!
