Film Crew Documents Dr. Chu's Immense Impact

Members of a production crew from On-Demand Korea-ODK, an online streaming channel, visited the Athens campus this week to film a documentary chronicling the life and career of  Dr. David Chu. The documentary, part of the "Asian Scientist Series," is scheduled to be released in June. Dr. Chu, Distinguished Research Professor and Professor Emeritus, has spent his entire career researching new drugs for the treatment of viral infections and cancer.

Faculty, staff, and students were featured on camera to discuss Dr. Chu's impact on their academic and research paths. Along with his scientific achievements, Dr. Chu's charitable donations and benevolent gifts made to the College on behalf of he and his wife, Jane, were shared so that viewers will have the complete story of the man who has meant so much to the College.  A huge thank you to all who played a role in this production!
