BPSO and SNPhA Members Provide Vaccines to the Community
This past Saturday, the UGA College of Pharmacy, ADD Drug, and Athens Nurses Clinic held a joint vaccination effort with Bethel Baptist Church in Watkinsville. Members of BPSO and SNPhA were the foot soldiers in completing this mission.

"I found these students to be very professional, compassionate, efficient, and intelligent. As you know, community service is something that is near and dear to my heart. It was refreshing to see these young people who apparently have the same feeling of community," said Dr. Brian Seagraves

The CURO Research Award

Effective Spring 2022 semester, the Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities (CURO) Research Assistantship will become the CURO Research Award. Now, the Jere W. Morehead Honors College, which administers CURO, will process these awards as scholarships rather than assistantships. This change will help to ensure that students receive the stipend in a more timely manner and also reduce the administrative burden on schools and colleges.

There will be no change with regard to support amounts or the number of students who will be supported. The CURO Research Award will continue to provide 500 stipends annually of $1,000 per student recipient. Please also note that CURO/Honors will be flexible with regard to need-based financial aid and will be working closely with the Office of Student Financial Aid in this respect.

For questions regarding the CURO Research Award application, please email For questions regarding how the CURO Research Awards will be processed or any further questions, please email Amanda Pruitt at call her at 706-542-0532. Please note that the Morehead Honors College/CURO will be making website updates and application changes as needed.
