MetaDocencia collaboratively builds its governance

Between July and October 2022 we will hold eight sessions that aim to facilitate the development of collaborative governance. In these meetings we will speak with specialists in governance and leaders of organizations and projects in the fields of education and open knowledge. These sessions will help promote an organizational model for MetaDocencia, designed for and shaped by our cultural and regional context.

We invite you to join us and take part in the conversations, discussions, and reflections that will guide this learning process. Your participation will help us shape our governance model and reach another milestone in our community-centered journey.

Upcoming #GobernanceMD meeting

In the 4th. #GovernanceMD meeting, which will take place next Wednesday, August 31 from 17 to 18 (UTC-3), we intend to learn from the experience of Malvika Sharan and Andrea Sánchez Tapia with The Turing Way and Open Life Science communities; explore experiences and exchange ideas to create and manage open science communities, promote intersectionality and encourage representativeness.

The meeting will be conducted in English with simultaneous interpretation to Spanish.

It will be guided by Melissa Black, MetaDocencia's Infrastructure and Impact Measurement Coordinator, and Nicolás Palopoli, who is in charge of MetaDocencia's general coordination.

All our spaces follow this Code of Conduct. Your participation in this event assumes that you agree to follow these guidelines.

MetaDocencia keeps growing

In June, we incorporated three new roles to our work team:

  • Project and Course Development Manager

  • Infrastructure and Impact Measurement Manager

  • Communication and Communities Manager

With these brilliant new community members, MetaDocencia is ready to bring to its whole community new workshops, projects, and events. We keep growing our scope and facilitate the participation of existing and new community members to promote capacity building in less favored countries.
