Last year a dumpster was installed for residents' use after receiving feedback on the DoD Tenant Satisfaction Housing Survey. We were excited to bring back the rollaway dumpster exclusively for residents to use through our appointment system. While residents are making the most of the dumpster, we are encountering some challenges we hope everyone can help with. Here are a few friendly reminders:
  • Residents must call 520-745-5024 for an appointment prior to disposing of items. This ensures the bin is not full.
  • No hazardous waste is accepted
  • If the bin is full, residents are asked to choose an alternate drop off time – so get your appointment requests in early
  • Great news - the City of Tucson also has a landfill residents can use if the dumpster on-site is full just visit their website for details - https://www.tucsonaz.gov/es/los-reales-landfill
  • We love providing this valuable service but have encountered some unauthorized dumping. Sadly, if this continues, we will have no choice but to remove the dumpster and refer residents to the landfill in Tucson.
  • Together we can keep this asset on site.
We appreciate everyone’s help and awareness with this challenge.
Thank you!
We hope everyone had a great and fun summer and is enjoying the Back to School excitement.  There is an update we wanted to inform you about in our Resident Guide for ATV use/storage in housing. Currently, according to section 3.3, “ATVs are not allowed to be operated or stored in housing areas.” Effective immediately, Soaring Heights will operate in line with the updated AFI that does allow for use of ATV’s on roadways with the appropriate elements in place as indicated below:

HAFB Supplement to AFI31-218 para A2.38.5.2. May operate vehicles manufactured for off-road use on the roadway or streets only when the off-road vehicle is properly registered, insured, and has required lighting, mirrors, and safety gear.  Operators must be able to show proof of registration and insurance upon request by security forces or wing safety.

Para A2.38.5.2. Will not operate motor-driven cycles or go-carts near residences except on approved streets or driveways. They will not be operated on lawns, sidewalks, fields, or other unpaved areas.

If the ATV adheres to the requirements set forth by the Base and is properly parked in driveways or designated parking areas, it will not receive a friendly reminder notice. However, any recreational vehicle stored in housing that does not adhere to the requirements would be considered out of compliance with the Resident Guide and subject to notices.

Thank you for your If you have any questions, please call our office at 575-479-1175.
The multi-purpose room will reopen soon,
stay tuned!
