It is also important to store household chemicals or combustible materials away from gas appliances in your home.

If you suspect a gas leak, evacuate everyone from the building immediately and then call 9-1-1 from a safe location to report the problem. It is important to avoid using anything that could create a spark (cell phone, flashlight, light switch, matches, etc.) on the premises. DO NOT re-enter the building until emergency crews have declared it to be safe.
