Updates and Big News!

I hope this email finds you cozy and warm in your corner of the world as I write to you from cold and rainy Brasov! We've been very busy lately, and there's lots to update you on!

Church Camp kids' group

At the end of summer, after the Risners returned from America, we joined Dani and Claudia Bagosi for church camp 2022! We had around 40 teenagers, 10 adult workers, and 9 kids (children of the workers). We packed our church camp facility to the max, and even had to turn away a few teens. Many of the teenagers who accepted Christ at this camp last year came back, and several brought their friends. We had another fantastic year, and several teens became followers of Jesus. I was in charge of the kids' class, and I loved teaching my little group about how to serve God better! Please keep praying for this group of teens and kids to go back and turn their communities upside down for Jesus!

Return Sunday morning meeting

The Return church plant group has a very special place in my heart! I love meeting with this group every Sunday morning, crowding 30 of us into someone's living room, passing around coffee and talking over breakfast! I take the kids into a spare room while Cristian or Bryan preaches, and we learn the story of the Bible together (we're almost to the Crucifixion!). Pray for this group to continue to grow!

Girls' trip!

God has gifted me with some very special friends in this area that I am so thankful for! This month we took a short trip to Budapest, Hungary together, with stops in Oradea and Timisoara on the way! I praise God that he has put these godly women in my life!

Prayer Retreat and Fellowship time together with the Bagosis!

Big news! Once again, God is moving our team to another area, although this one is a familiar one! After much prayer and consideration, the Risners and I are moving back to Oradea (the city close to Santandrei, where our gypsy ministry is). In Oradea we will work to plant a church in partnership with Dani and Claudia Bagosi, who are BMA ChangeMakers and some of our dearest friends. Cristian and Vanessa Martinez, and Sara Filimon, our partners here in Brasov, will stay here in Brasov to continue the ministry of Return Church Plant. Please be praying for this big transition. We plan to move in January of 2023.

Prayers

This Saturday (Oct 29th) we are having an interest meeting in Oradea to present the vision of our new church plant there to people who may want to join. Pray that the right people come and that they catch the vision!
Our Ukrainian friends are once again in the path of missiles as the war with Russia escalates. Please pray for their safety and well-being.
Pray for our team to have strength as we travel between Brasov and Oradea over the next few months.
This weekend I am going to be viewing houses and apartments to rent. Pray I find the perfect place to call home in Oradea.
Return church is starting a college outreach program, where we will partner with college students to tutor kids in a gypsy village nearby. May God be glorified!

Praises

After maxing out our church camp facility this year, Dani challenged the kids to each bring a friend next year, not knowing exactly where everyone would sleep. God always provides, and we just heard that they are making plans to expand the camp to hold more kids!
My family was able to visit me in Romania this summer. It was such a joy to get to show them my home!
Through your donations to Ukranian refugees, I was able to help my dear friend Luba with some money for food. She has been struggling because they keep loosing power. This money helped her buy food she can prepare for her family even if they don't have power.
God is moving in big ways here, sometimes slowly, and sometimes so fast it's hard to keep up. To God be the Glory!
