Every July, Toastmasters International starts a new year. As it turns the page and starts a new chapter for the 2021–2022 program year, it’s important to look back and remember the reason it all began. After all, as Toastmasters founder Dr. Ralph C. Smedley said, “The past prepares us to meet the challenges of the future.” To keep our club on track, we reach out helpful resources, inspiring quotes and tips to get the most out of our meetings. Here is the meeting highlight of this month.
On June 28, Phil delivered a level 3 social speech, he toasted to 29 years anniversary of TACL Toastmasters Club. Nam conducted a special table topic for members to fill in the blank and explain the reason, it was quite challenging. We took July 5th off in observing Independence Day. On July 12, Patrick worked on leadership development pathway, planning and implementing a church picnic. On table topic session, Stephen gave several excellent quotes and ask audience’s thoughts. On July 19, Kevin talked about Empathy Gap, as facing many pressing emergent issues around the world, and knowing it affects future generations and your future self, you need to treat others the way you want to be treated and treat your future self well by taking care of yourself right now. Phil led a table topic of Pet Peeves, participants picked their brains to lift us beyond pet peeves.
Toastmasters are great fun, we are hoping you to join us on weekly Zoom meetings.
